The children of Engari are busy with their studies, about two thirds of the way through the first term of the academic year. It is a time to adapt to new surroundings, to making new friends, learn new materials, and make the most of new opportunities.

At Joy of Community Foundation, we have reached a major milestone in our organization’s development. As of this month, we have raised over $10,000 towards our goals of community development in Engari! In reaching this figure, we feel that it’s a good time to provide some specifics about exactly where your money is going. Have a look at the charts for a detailed breakdown.

In other news, we’re excited to inform you that we have established relationships with two talented Ugandan artists, whose work will soon be available on our website. The paintings bring vivid colors, culture, and character to your home, while at the same time supporting the work that we are doing for the children and community of Engari. Stay tuned for more details in the coming weeks!

Sincerely,
The Joy of Community Team
