Praise Nasingura

Praise is one of five children, who migrated with their parents to Engari from Bushenyi District. Her parents are work in other people’s coffee and banana plantations in order to feed the family and make some little money. Praise is thirteen years old and started her first year of secondary school last year, only to drop out because her parents couldn’t pay her school fees. She and her brother Brighton (who has just been sponsored) are the only two of the five children to reach this level of schooling, as her other three siblings dropped out of primary school and are now either motorcycle taxi drivers or housemaids. Praise enjoys playing netball, playing with babies, and would like to become a nurse someday.
